Back to School with Ooh La La Couture
1. How did Ooh! La, La! Couture start?
We have been best friends since 3rd grade. When we each had little girls of our own, we thought it would be fun to start making cool clothes for them. We spent late nights laughing and teaching ourselves how to sew. Our first dress was a black and white toile ruffle dress that we pinned and sewed ourselves…It was an instant hit!

2. How busy have you guys gotten over the years?
We started selling our homemade creations to friends, local boutiques, and quickly expanded nationwide. Since we are moms of young children, balancing family and a growing business keeps us very busy.
3. You recently did the EMILY GRACE COLLECTION, was this your first celebrity line, do you plan to do others?
Yes, the EMILY GRACE COLLECTION was our first celebrity line and it was a great success sold in hundreds of locations across the country. Who knows what’s in store for us next! Stay tuned ![]()
4. What types of looks do you have for your fall collection?
Plaid, snakeskin, and jacquards are a few of the fun prints we mixed with our signature funky and poufy styles.
5. When would your next collection come out?
Our upcoming Cruise collection will arrive in stores around the holidays. We tried some exciting new styles / prints for this collection and can’t wait for it to hit the shelves!

6. Who comes up with the designs?
We do all of the designing together.
7. How affordable are your dresses?
We have maintained our prices consistently over the past several years, keeping us in line with other designer dresses. We focus on creating the highest quality products, with great attention to detail.
8. Do you ever think about expanding into more than dresses?
Over the years we have designed many cute styles, but our dresses are always the biggest hits.
9. Do you have any inspirations, style wise?
Inspiration comes from many different places: travels, magazines, nature, other designers, museums, our kids and their friends! You can see our use of fabric elements with traditional French design, animal prints, florals, and graffiti to name a few of our favorites.
10. You guys do a lot of charity events, is there anything coming up?
Yes, we are going to be doing a fashion show to support the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation at Scott Baio’s 50th Birthday Gala on Sept. 26th. We have designed a few special dresses to raise awareness about the causes BBAF champion, such as the importance of newborn screening and supporting families affected by metabolic disorders.
