Bella Thorne: February Cover Girl

Recently, Dream Magazine got to sit down with 13 year old Bella Thorne. She told us about her recent booking of DANCE, DANCE CHICAGO, a new pilot as well as talked about her new recurring role as Tancy Hendrickson in HBO’S BIG LOVE. Bella isn’t new to the business as she has been modeling since she was only a tyke and continued on with her real passion, acting. At only age thirteen, Bella has been in many films and television shows (RASPBERRY MAGIC, FORGET ME NOT, MY OWN WORST ENEMY) but remains actively involved in all types of charities and is a well balanced child who loves what she does, with the only hard part of her job being that “people don’t understand or remember, that I’m just a kid.”

Dream: You recently got cast as Tancy Hendrickson in “Big Love” and have been filming for a few weeks now, what was your reaction to getting such a big role and what is it like working with stars such as Amanda Seyfried and Bill Paxton?

Bella: We have been filming since September and it has been awesome! I was like “OMG” when I heard. I was super excited as it is a favorite (show) of my mom and sisters. I also thought, wow, I am really blessed to be able to work with writers, directors, producers and actors that I admire. They are so talented.

Dream: Has it been hard adjusting to being in the cast of “Big Love” since your one of the newest cast members, or is everyone very welcoming?

Bella: No, everyone welcomed me right away. I was kind of nervous about it but there were hugs and love from day one.

Dream: You have done a lot of TV appearances as well as film – what has been your favorite job so far and why?

Bella: I have a couple of favorites for different reasons. TV- My Own Worst Enemy was so awesome because it was my first show as a series regular and the cast bonded right away. I’m on Big Love now and it’s an obvious choice because it’s a favorite of my family to watch.

Dream: You have been a model since you were very young, is modeling something you want to continue doing or is acting your passion?

Bella: Acting is my passion but I love modeling. I think that I’d always like to have some fashion in my life in some way.

Dream: You seem to be a very grounded and well balanced child, how do you juggle things like acting, modeling, school and friends?

Bella: My family helps me with that! We are all part of the “wolf pack”, something my dad used to say, and we just stick together. They are my best friends. I do have several girlfriends too and I love the time we spend together. School is done on set and sometimes it can be a little difficult because of testing and makeup work. Modeling is my hobby so no balancing there!

Dream: With your growing popularity is it getting harder to be just a normal child?

Bella: No. I don’t really think it can change you unless you let it. I do get lots more emails and letters to answer but otherwise I love people so it’s like having a bunch of new friends.

Dream: Who is your dream actor or actress to work with?

 Bella: It changes all the time. I’d love to work with Daniel Craig right now. I love so many actors and actresses that it’s hard to choose.

 Dream: If you weren’t an actress/model, what else would you like to do when you grow up?

 Bella: I believe I would still have to be in a creative/ artistic job. I could see myself in fashion or production.

 Dream: Besides being in front of the camera, what other interests and activities do you enjoy?

 Bella: I love animals. I enjoy painting, sketching and dancing. I also love to read.

 Dream: What advice do you have for someone your age that wants to get into modeling or acting?

 Bella: If it is YOUR passion, you should just do it. Send in a photo, it doesn’t have to be a pro, don’t spend money your money on “modeling classes”. You don’t need any of it. Once you get with an agent, they will help guide you with what you should do.

Megan (Fan Question): Bella, do you visit all your fansites? And/or watch your Fanvideos on Youtube?

 Bella: I do try and visit all my fansites and see as many youtube fan videos as possible. For sure, if a fan sends me a link, I will check it out. I always try to respond when someone writes me:)))
