Karley Scott Collins star of AMISH GRACE

Ten year old Karley Scott Collins is a fun, energetic and well spoken young girl and Dream Magazine got the opportunity to interview her. Karley is starring in the upcoming Lifetime Movie Network movie AMISH GRACE as Katie Graber a young girl who’s sister is killed by a gunman. AMISH GRACE is based on a true story about a gun man that went into a Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania schoolhouse killing five children and wounding five others. The film follows a grieving mother, Ida Graber (Kimberly Paisley) and the rest of the Amish community through their reaction to the shooting and how their beliefs led them to forgive.
Karley is best known for her roles in films such as PULSE 2, THE HOTTIE AND THE NOTTIE and THE COLLECTOR. She says “My favorite project so far was AMISH GRACE because I got to work with so many great and talented people.” She told us how she really liked the story of AMISH GRACE when she read the script because the story was so interesting how the family and the community deals with the tragedy that strikes them. “Kimberly Paisley played my mom and she was so much fun. She even taught me in between scenes how to make a flute sound with pieces of grass.”
There was a lot of crying for her role, but she told us that thinking of something sad helps her prepare herself for the role. She said she also learned a lot from her fellow cast mates including Tammy Blanchard who she says is so real when she acts that it inspires her. “I also got to work with some child actors which was fun because I work with adults a lot.” Madison Davenport plays Karley‘s sister in the film and she said that even today Karley has stayed close with Madison. “I cried when we were done because I had so much fun with her.”
Karley loves acting, but when she isn’t filming she loves being a normal kid. “I like reading, drawing and swimming, those are my favorite!” She also shared with us that she dreams to one day work with Angelina Jolie in a movie.
In 2011, you can see Karley in two more projects. “I did a voice in OPEN SEASON which opens in January 2011, and I also did a voiceover for FAMILY GUY which was the one hour Christmas special, coming next Christmas!” She said voice overs are a lot of fun to do because she thinks it’s interesting to see all the work that goes into making animation.
AMISH GRACE comes to Lifetime on March 28th at 8PM EST/5PM PST.
