One Tree Hill star Jackson Brundage

We got a chance to talk with Jackson Brundage, the cutie known for his role as Jamie Scott in ONE TREE HILL. He had a lot of great things to say about working on the show so far, and amazing things to say about his cast. “Since I started the show in 2008 a lot of things have changed, since Jamie is getting older he’s gotten to do new things, but I have also got to work with a lot of new characters” he tells us. Jackson lives in Los Angeles, but the show films in South Carolina, so Jackson gets the best of both worlds. “Working on the show has changed my life” he says “I get to travel a lot and meet a lot of cool people, at such a young age it’s cool to learn all this stuff” he tells me. Jackson tells me how much fun it is to work with the cast and crew because all of them are fun to him, “Working with my on screen parents Bethany and James is so fun! They are really nice even though neither of them have kids yet they are great!” he says. “I think their characters are good parents too, but they let Jamie get away with a lot” he laughs.

Jackson tells me about some hard parts of filming for him, “I think the most emotional scenes for me have been when Quinton died” he says “Also, when Haley was depressed.” He says, “Sometimes it’s hard, but it’s my job”. I also asked Jackson if he had any way of preparing himself for these types of scenes, he told me that he treats it like any other; he learns his lines the night before then takes a few moments to step into Jamie’s shoes, very smart for such a young kid. In 2009, two main actors, Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton left the show; we asked Jackson if that has changed things drastically on the One Tree Hill set. “Everyone misses them, and it did change the show because we added new people but I think that they felt it was best for them to leave at that time. I loved working with both of them though” he said. Jackson had so many nice things to say about working on ONE TREE HILL, we had to ask him his favorite part, “The great cast of course, but the crew too – and we have the nicest craft services lady!” he says.

Aside from acting, Jackson likes just being a normal kid. “I love skateboarding with my friends, jumping on my trampoline and watching movies” he tells us.
