Q & A with Taylar Hender

What is DEN BROTHER about?
DEN BROTHER is about a Girl Scout troop and a big brother of one of the girls. Emily is played by G Hannelius and she has a big brother (Dano), it’s about how he grows up. He learns a whole bunch of new things and helps our troop out after we lose our Den Mother.

Tell me about your character.
I play Abigail and she is boy crazy. She is also crazy with her outfits, totally mismatched. She would wear cheetah print with stripes, stuff like that, it was really fun.

How was it like working with G & Hutch?
They were both amazing. I hang out with G a lot now, we are great friends. Hutch was also so cool.

Were you ever in a Girl Scout Troop?
I was, I am originally from Texas, when I moved out here I quit but in Texas I was in brownies. I sold cookies, that was fun.

How do you get into character?
I think I just really think about how I could be that person. It is cool because with every character I have played I really relate to them.

Are you filming anything right now?
I have a new movie that will be in theaters called JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER. I play Amey, Judy’s best friend.

What else do you like doing besides acting?
I love gymnastics and I love to dance and read.

How was it working on ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?
It was definitely a summer brush up. It was a lot of fun, and since we filmed during the summer it was helping me get ready for my next year of school.

Have you seen any movies lately that you liked?
I loved DESPICABLE ME, it was so good!
